Hurakabra is located approximately 3 miles North - West of Bartica on the left bank of the Essequibo River and occupies 21.24 acres of land. The River Resort is on  approximately 1000 feet of river front with a depth of  over a 1000 feet of tropical forest, bamboo groves and

mango trees. It is presently a two dwelling water front facility, ideal for families/couples get-a-way weekends, fortnightly or longer vacations. Accommodation ranges from the beautifully appointed Mango Tree Villa  with three (3) bedrooms, the one (1) bedroom Bamboo Cottage to hammocks slung in the Beach Bar or the Villa patio.

We cater for large groups on day visits.

The Resort is fully solar powered with a back-up generator. The Villa has hot and cold water with window fans in each bedroom. Both buildings have kitchens so guest can self-cater. 

The Villa  sits on a hill overlooking the River and is a two storey building with 3 bedrooms/3 full bathrooms- to sleep 8.

The Upper level contains a self contained  river front Master Bedroom with king size bed, walk in closet and spacious bathroom; a second river front  bedroom with queen size bed  which shares a bathroom with a jungle view third bedroom which can sleep 4 on  twin  double bunks; a huge living room, 14 feet front veranda and 4ft wrap around on the three sides. Front verandah features a 4 person Jacuzzi.

The Lower level contains a huge kitchen, dining room and full bathroom and a 14 feet extended patio outside of the kitchen. 

There is an Observatory deck adjacent to the Villa for bird watching from 100 ft above river level.

The Cottage contains a self contained Master Bedroom with  bathroom; fully equipped open kitchen and living room with roll-out sofa to sleep an additional two persons.
