Anna Regina is the capital of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana and stands on the Atlantic coast North West of the mouth of the Essequibo River. Anna Regina was made a town in 1970 and its population was 12,448 in 2002.

Anna Regina has a market, a community centre and a secondary school. The regional chairman of this region is Mr. Ali Baksh. Anna Regina has a number of sites which hold some amount of historical significance these include Damon monument, Damon’s cross the Aurora Chimney and estate house Anna Regina Bridge, Anna Regina Chimney, and several Dutch tombs. The mainstay lake is 5miles from Anna Regina.
